Two bowls. One with gold Kinsugi. The other a disposable tinfoil one.

She’s Not Better Than You — She’s Disposable

August 13, 20262 min read

Let me share a story about two vessels.

One was a handcrafted ceramic bowl, carefully shaped over time, strengthened by fire, holding years of family meals and memories.

The other was a shiny disposable container, momentarily attractive but made for temporary use.

The disposable container seemed appealing — new, exciting, without the marks of time and use that the ceramic bowl carried. It didn’t have the small chips that came from years of faithful service. It gleamed with the artificial shine of the new.

But here’s what the disposable container could never understand: those marks on the ceramic bowl? Each one tells a story of loyalty. Each tiny imperfection speaks of meals shared, of laughter around tables, of midnight snacks during baby feedings, of soup made during illnesses, of countless moments of care and nurturing.

You, dear one, are that ceramic bowl. You have depth that she cannot fathom. You have built a life, created a home, weathered storms, celebrated joys. Your beauty is soul-deep, etched with experiences that have made you who you are.

Stop measuring your worth against someone who was willing to take what wasn’t hers. Stop comparing your realness — your morning hair, your stretch marks, your worry lines — to someone who only had to present her highlight reel.

You remained faithful in the shadows while she played her part in the spotlight. You chose honour while she chose deception. You carried the weight of real life while she offered escape from reality.

Your worth isn’t in your waist size or your age or how you compare to her photos. Your worth lies in your steadfast heart, your dignified choices, your authentic self that shows up day after day to love, to give, to persevere.

She may have seemed exciting precisely because she carried none of the weight of real life and responsibility that you carry. It’s easy to seem carefree when you’re carrying none of the care.

Remember this: she didn’t win anything. She didn’t prove anything. She simply revealed her emptiness and low self-worth — someone willing to build her happiness on the pain of another woman. That is not victory. That is not strength. That is not beauty.

You, precious one, even in your pain, even in your questioning, even in your anger — you remain whole. You remain worthy. You remain the one who chose honour over betrayal, faithfulness over fleeting excitement, truth over deception.

Let her go from your mind. She doesn’t deserve the space she’s taking up in your thoughts. You are not in competition with her. You never were.

Where Did Our Love Go?
An online video programme for the turbulent months after D-Day

The first 12 months after discovery are when most of the lasting damage is done — and almost none of it by the affair itself. It's done by what happens next. The questions. The searching. The conversations that spiral at midnight. The people who get told. This programme walks you through those weeks: what genuinely helps, what makes things worse, and why so much of the advice you'll find online will hurt you right now.

Includes: 45 minutes of private coaching with Pete when you finish (value £250).

£500 or two payments of £300. 14-day guarantee.
