I choose you! This gay Pokémon proposal is too cute for words

One loved-up guy was planning to pop the question to his Pokémon-loving boyfriend.

Tumblr user Brett Graham became a true Pokemon Master when popping the question to his partner Max in a truly epic style.

Pokemon adventures begin with a single choice – usually between a a water type, fire type, and a grass type.

When Brett decided to propose to Max, he decided their life adventure should begin in the same way- custom-designing three ‘starter’ rings and Pokéballs to hold them.

He explained: “It took me a while to figure out the right way to propose to Max, but I’m pretty damned proud of what I came up with.

A ‘fire type’ starter which is black with a red gem, and a ‘water type’ starter with a mother of pearl inlay. “A ‘grass type’ starter with a wooden inlay.

“I’ve been scheming like a madman for months.
Brett added: “Max, for his part, has been telling me pretty much every day since we’ve started that he’s going to marry me. Somehow, I was still nervous when it came time to ask about making that official.

“At the beginning of every adventure, you need to pick a partner. I chose him. So, I figured if he said yes, he could decide what to wear on his finger.

Max picked a Fire type and of course said yes.

Next big surprise is already being planned by Brett.

He said of the other two rings: “He gets those, too. The significance of the choice is that whatever he picked as his official starter will ‘evolve’ at milestone anniversaries. I got plans.”

We’re just glad a rival didn’t come along and take the one of the other rings.

The United States has had a LOT of weddings since Supreme Court ruling

It was estimated that nearly one million Americans are in same-sex marriages by the pollster.

After the June 26 Supreme Court ruling that cemented same-sex marriage across all 50 states, a Gallup estimate this week estimated that 972,000 Americans are now in a same-sex marriage – with approximately 200,000 of those have been married fallowing the ruling.

Along with data from the Williams Institute estimating that 3.5% of Americans identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual, the estimate was calculated using data from thousands of interviews with LGBT Americans before and after the ruling..

Since 26 of June there have been 96000 same-sex marriages ending in total of 972000 American’s in the same-sex marriages.

Gary J. Gates from Gallup suggested that the nationwide adoption of same-sex marriage would fundamentally change the face of lesbian, gay and bisexual relationships, saying “If those trends continue, marriage will soon overtake domestic partnerships as the more common relationship status among committed same-sex couples.”

Obergefell v. Hodges. The 5-4 ruling forced all 50 states to recognise same-sex marriages and protect LGBT citizens’ right to marry in “mega-case” testimonies after which Supreme Court ruled in favour of marriage equality earlier this year.

Boy George: ‘I slept with Prince’

Boy George has said he has slept with Prince.

During the show’s live audition stage the Voice coach made the claim in front of a studio audience, bringing production to a halt.

‘[It] sent the audience absolutely wild and forced producers to stop filming,’ an insider told The Sun.

Boy George talked with the other UK Voice coaches Will.i.am, Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson and singer Paloma Faith on the subject of who they’d all duetted with in the past.

The gay singer-songwriter said: ‘I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson.’

Paloma responded: ‘Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince.’

To which Boy George replied: ‘Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.’

The crowd went wild, the source said: ‘Production staff had to come up on stage and speak to them.

‘After that, Boy George started backtracking saying that he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that, he just had his poster on his wall in reality.

‘But as far as the crowd were concerned the cat was already out of the bag.’

The Voice UK returns in January on BBC 1.

Gay sex workers demeaned and insulted by publisher of Left magazine

The humiliating op-ed was written by the the publisher of Left magazine, David Helton, after the Department of Homeland Security raided the offices of an online escort site, Rentboy.com, and arrested employees and its CEO, charging them for conspiring to promote prostitution.

Helton at first made a clarification that he is not criticizing or judging anyone’s life choices, and that he has no moral objection to prostitution, but later on in the same article continued to write some pretty judgmental things.

To save you from reading very long post, he thinks gay sex work is “shady business” and those guys on Rentboy.com should have known that this day was coming, because they were being so open regarding their chosen profession.

Two male escorts are sending the message: “So what if I want to be a hooker!”

Sean Zevran, gay porn star and escorts, responded on his blog article:

“I get it – the caricature of a prostitute, whore, hooker, or whichever derogatory term one chooses, makes us an easy target. Very few will defend what is supposedly the lowest of the lows, and words like David Helton’s that perpetuate the stigma and stereotypes of our industry are exactly why. But I challenge all of my readers to be smarter than that.”

Utah Judge, Scott Johansen, Removes Himself From Gay Foster Parent Case

Judge Scott Johansen reversed his order last week to remove the 9-month-old baby from the home of April Hoagland and Beckie Peirce and allowed the girl to stay with the married couple. But there were concerns he could still have the baby removed from their home in Price, about 120 miles south of Salt Lake City, during a custody hearing set for Dec. 4.

The couple asked that the judge be disqualified. In an order released Monday, Johansen wrote that while the couple do not have legal standing, he is nevertheless stepping aside.

In his initial decision, Johansen mentioned research showing children do better when raised by heterosexual families. The American Psychological Association, however, has said there’s no scientific basis for believing that gays and lesbians are unfit parents based on sexual orientation.

He removed himself from the case after widespread criticism from national gay rights groups, the Republican governor and others. A gay rights group has filed a complaint with state judicial officials, and the Alliance for a Better Utah, a watchdog group, called on Monday for state lawmakers to impeach the judge.

Johansen is barred from speaking about pending cases and a call to his publicly listed phone number went unanswered Monday.

Ireland : It’s Yes For Love – Same-Sex Marriage Becomes Legal

Ireland’s new same-sex marriage law comes into force from Monday, six months after the country voted to allow gay unions in a historic referendum.

Existing same-sex marriages registered abroad will be immediately recognised in Ireland, while other couples can now submit their intention to marry.

“I felt I didn’t have permission to say we were married but from now we will say it at every opportunity,” said Vivian Cummins, 57, from Dublin who married his partner Erney in South Africa in 2009.

“I would never really admit by choice to being married because I didn’t feel married in this country,” he told AFP.

In May, Ireland voted 62.1 percent in favour of allowing marriage between two people “without distinction as to their sex”, the first time anywhere that gay marriage has been legalised in a referendum.

It was a long journey for LGBT campaigners in the traditionally Catholic country that only decriminalised homosexual acts in 1993.

“After years of waiting for this day, it’s just an extraordinary moment for us,” said Senator Katherine Zappone, who lost a High Court case in 2006 to have her Canadian marriage to her wife recognised in Ireland.

The couple plan to bring their “marriage home” in a ceremony in January after Zappone proposed to her wife Ann Louise Gilligan live on national television after the referendum result was announced.

A total of 2,054 couples have entered a civil partnership since Ireland introduced the legal unions in 2011 but a further ceremony will be required to convert these into marriage, with just a few days notice.

Johnny Depp: “All My Characters Are Gay”

Johnny Depp has revealed that he once told a bemused Disney executive that “all my characters are gay”.

Famously, the actor was almost fired from the original Pirates Of The Caribbean film because Disney bosses were unhappy with his flamboyant performance as Captain Jack Sparrow, which he partly based on The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards.

Recalling the reaction from Disney at the time, Depp told an audience at an LA promotional event for his latest film Black Mass. “It trickled back to me somehow that, ‘Goddammit, Johnny Depp’s ruining the film! What is that thing? Is it drunk, is it gay?'”

The actor then recalled a meeting with a Disney executive from “the upper echelon of the studio” who asked him: “What the fuck are you doing?”

“When they asked if it was gay, I said: ‘Didn’t you know all my characters are gay?'” Depp told the audience.

Released in 2003, Pirates Of The Caribbean became a huge box office hit for Disney and earned Depp an Oscar nomination. He will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in the franchise’s fifth instalment, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is set for release on July 7, 2017.

Study Says Most Women Are Either Gay or Bisexual But ‘Never Straight’

New research conducted by the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex has stated that all women are on the LGBT spectrum.

Dr. Gerulf Rieger has completed extensive research in the field of sexual orientation, focusing on pupil dilatation compared to genital arousal.

His latest study involved 345 who were shown videos of naked men and women and had their responses analysed.

The results, which were based on elements such as whether their pupils dilated in response to sexual stimuli, showed that straight women were strongly sexually aroused by videos of both attractive men and attractive women, despite claims they were only interested in men.

Subjects who identified as lesbians were said to be more like men in their responses because it is usually men who show distinct sexual responses to their favourite sex.

Dr. Rieger said “Even though the majority of women identify as straight, our research clearly demonstrates that when it comes to what turns them on, they are either bisexual or gay, but never straight.”

Dr. Rieger has analyzed social influences on sexuality in past research and is committed to understanding the holistic story of sexual orientation.

He says “My work has focused on sexual orientation: how it is organized, how it develops, and how it affects a person’s life. I use a wide diversity of methodologies, ranging from self-report to assessing physiological activity and neurological correlates, and employ an array of quantitative skills in order to pursue my research. I use home videos to examine behavioural signals of childhood masculinity-femininity and how they predict adult sexual orientation.
